Taking care of your beauty doesn’t always have to mean spending money on beauty treatments at a beauty salon. You can arrange the same living room in the privacy of your own home, often using the salutary properties of everyday products.
Homemade cosmetic face masks
Homemade face masks work best when performed in the evening. Then the skin absorbs the nutrients contained in them the most. Also, doesn’t a quiet evening sound like the perfect time to pamper your skin a bit? Especially since the products from which you can make a homemade mask are widely available at very affordable prices.
Not everyone knows that egg is one of the best foods for skin care. Both the protein and the yolk. A mask of chicken yolk, left on the skin washed with warm water for about half an hour, enriches the skin with vitamin A. In turn, the whipped protein mask (leave it on the skin until it does not dry) cleans the skin. Homemade face masks can be made from a wide variety of foods; perfect for this, among others: cucumbers (grated guarantee a stronger effect!), honey, oatmeal, avocado, coffee or yeast. However, remember to make sure in advance that the particular type of mask is suitable for your skin type (for example, the above-mentioned egg mask does not work for dry skin).
Home-made peels are child’s play to make. Their action will not only prepare the skin for subsequent treatments (like the masks described above), but also regenerate the skin and make it visibly firm. However, you should always take into account that not every peeling will work properly with all skin types. One of the simplest peels is sugar peeling. To prepare it, two teaspoons of sugar and a small amount of water are enough to create a thick mass as a result of mixing; after massaging the peeling, wash the skin with warm water.
Another very simple recipe for a homemade peeling is the shredded fruit slices applied to the face. Orange, lemon and apple peels work very well. Unfortunately, this cosmetic procedure should not be used for allergic and couperose skin.The so-called oat peeling is also recommended. To prepare it, you will need 3 tablespoons of oat flakes, a teaspoon of honey and the juice of half a lemon. After the mixed ingredients stand aside for about half an hour, add one tablespoon of milk. Stir again and then apply the facial scrub. This treatment works most effectively on oily and combination skin, although it also works very well in moisturizing dry and sensitive skin. Oat flakes have a regenerating effect on the skin – they narrow the pores and level the surface. In addition, they cost little, about PLN 2 per pack.At home, not only face or body cosmetic treatments, such as those listed above, are perfect, but also hair treatments. Hair masks and rinses are ideal for your home spa, and if you use them regularly, your hair will not be any worse regenerated than visiting a hairdresser.
Use the right products
The properties of home masks depend on the products we use. Chopped avocado massaged into the hair and scalp perfectly moisturizes and nourishes the skin. On the other hand, if you want to deeply regenerate your hair, choose a mask made of eggs, lemon and oil. Its preparation is child’s play; separate 2 yolks, add to them 2 tablespoons of olive oil and the juice of half a lemon. Apply the mask to (absolutely dry) part of your hair and wrap it with cling film and then with a towel. This keeps you warm, which is essential for the nutrients to be absorbed properly. After 30 minutes, rinse the mask and wash your hair thoroughly. For best results, repeat the treatment twice a week.Rinses also have a beneficial effect on the condition of the hair. Unlike masks, it’s best to match them with the color of your hair. Owners of light hair rinse should use chamomile to keep blonde hair looking nice (interestingly, if you rinse dark hair frequently with chamomile it should lighten a bit). Camomile bags are available in all pharmacies. For one rinse, take 2 chamomile bags and pour half a liter of warm water over them. Leave for half an hour, then rinse your hair with the chamomile decoction, preferably immediately after washing.
For people with dark hair, the best rinses are cloves, cinnamon and marjoram. Use 5-6 cloves per liter of water, 2 teaspoons of cinnamon and a pinch of marjoram. The rinse should be boiled for 15 to 20 minutes, then rinse the hair immediately after shampooing. Rinses are another home beauty treatment that gives the best results with frequent use. For the best results, it is recommended to use them after each wash, i.e. about 3 times a week.
